The song is pretty old, but I usually find myself return to it from time to time when I need some comforting and motivation.
The quality of the song file is not optimal, of course.

Letting Go by Terence Trent D’arby and Hans Zimmer (1996)

The book is almost 3 years old, but the information in it is still true to today. The author talked about the power of technology, especially the internet, as a part of globalization; How they created an illusion of a “flat” world.
I view this book as a great “how to” book for any business owner. It’s a must for a developing country like Thailand.

Thaksin is back. Some are pleased, some are mad, while the rest are skeptical.
I think it is fair to say that Thaksin is the man responsible for dividing the country into two sides. Both with their own ways, and will never be agreed on the same principle, if there is any left.
I don’t see anything wrong with that, as long as both sides agree to disagree like the rest of the world. (developed countries) However, it is not the case for The Thais. - You have to think and do like me, if not, you’re wrong. -
I believe agree to disagree is a basic idea of democracy that Thai people still have to learn how.

Ok, I love Mac and almost everything about it except… I can’t merge folder contents!
The *nix people would have said, — Meh… It’s easy. just use Terminal and then

cp -R -n ./source-folder/* ./destination-folder/

Oh well, I’m not that much of a *nixer, and I’m just a sucker for a beautiful interface. FileMerge came to my rescue. Thanks to this Dreamweaver Article and the wonderful Macworld.
Filemerge is not only great for merging folder contents, but it is great for comparing html files (and any other code files). I guess WinMerge could do the same for Windows user?

วันนี้มีคนขายผลิตภัณฑ์ Amway มาที่บ้าน ผมไม่ได้อยู่ฟังด้วยเพราะรู้ตัวว่าต้องเสียเงินแน่นอน ฟังโฆษณาชวนเชื่อทีไรเป็นต้องเสียเงินทุกครั้งเพราะเป็นคนซื้อของง่าย และเชื่อคนง่าย
Amway นี่มีขายตั้งแต่สากกะเบือยันเรือรบ อยากได้อะไรเขาก็มีให้ซื้อ ใครๆก็ว่าของเขาคุณภาพดีจริง สมราคา
ยกตัวอย่างเช่น เครื่องกรองน้ำ เพื่อนบอกว่า เครื่องกรองน้ำ Amway แพงกว่ายี่ห้ออื่นมาก แต่ดีมากๆ ดีถึงขนาดกรองน้ำดำๆขุ่นๆกลายเป็นน้ำใสดื่มได้เลยจริงๆ
ฟังดูแล้วก็เห็นภาพ และรู้สึกว่าเครื่องกรองน้ำของ Amway ดีจริงๆ แต่…ถ้าดูกันตามความเป็นจริงแล้ว มีใครซักกี่คนกันที่จะซื้อเครื่องกรองน้ำไปกรองน้ำดำๆขุ่นๆ เพื่อมาดื่ม? คนทั่วไปอย่างเราๆก็ต่อท่อน้ำประปากรองกันทั้งนั้น น้ำประปามันก็ใสปิ๊ง และแทบไม่มีกลิ่นอยู่แล้วด้วย ถ้าเครื่องกรองน้ำที่ถูกกว่าของ Amway ซักหมื่นบาท แต่สามารถกรองน้ำประปาได้ใสปิ๊ง ดื่มได้เหมือนกัน ผมจะซื้อของ Amway ทำไมล่ะครับ เผื่อน้ำประปาบ้านผมจะมีโคลนปนมาซักวันหนึ่งในอนาคตอะไรอย่างนั้นเหรอ? แค่เครื่องกรองราคาถูกตัวนี้ ประสิทธิภาพไม่สูงพอที่จะกรองน้ำโคลน แต่สูงพอที่จะกรองน้ำประปาได้ มันก็น่าจะเพียงพอแล้วไม่ใช่เหรอ
“ซื้อเผื่อไว้” เป็นแนวคิดที่ผมคุ้นเคยดีมาตั้งแต่เด็ก ซื้อเผื่อโต ถ่ายรูปเผื่อเสีย… ไม่ได้บอกว่าผิด แค่ผมไม่เห็นประโยชน์มันเท่านั้นเอง

Of course, I could never be able to play like her. With this much concentration, it’s hard to think if Theramin has a long future. Well, at least it has been here for almost a hundred year already…
The double bass sounding part is just amazing. I’ve never heard a theramin sounded like that before. Maybe some of the audience never heard it either. The funny thing is that the audience just stopped applauding abruptly once they saw that Pamelia was really concentrating on the instrument. (as oppose to acknowledging the audience.)

I found myself loving to read reviews more than the content itself. Check out Youtube for example, you will find a lot of entertaining clips, of course, but the reviews are sometimes more entertaining than the clips itself. It’s amazing when people can hide behind their avatar, screen name, and speak their mind without fear of consequences. I’m saying it’s good. I’d just say it’s entertaining to read.
Where would you find a place like that out of the internet? A place where people can just speak up, bash one another, but not end up in a physical fight? Amazing… just amazing.

ใครจะไปคิดว่าอเมริกาไม่มีแป้งขาย แป้งทาตัวที่มีขายอย่างเดียวคือแป้งเด็กจอห์นสัน แป้งผู้ใหญ่แบบ Prickly Heat ก็ไม่มี
แป้งเด็กมันก็พอใช้ได้อยู่นะครับ ทาหลังอาบน้ำ แต่อะไรก็สู้แป้ง Prickly Heat ไม่ได้ เพราะว่าแป้งนี้เอาไว้ทาส่วนสำคัญในที่ร่มได้ดีมาก เย็นจับใจ ดังที่สรรพคุณข้างกล่องเขียนไว้

เมื่ออาทิตย์ที่แล้วผมมีโอกาสได้ฟังการแถลงนโยบายของรัฐบาลใหม่ ต้องบอกตรงๆว่า ไม่ว่ารัฐบาลหรือฝ่ายค้านก็ตาม ไม่ได้มีความเข้าใจถึงศักยภาพของ IT และ Internet เลยแม้แต่น้อย หรือเข้าใจแต่ไม่รู้ว่าจะใช้ประโยชน์กับมันอย่างไร
คอมพิวเตอร์หนึ่งเครื่อง(รวม OS และ browsers) กับ Internet connection มีประโยชน์มากกว่า คอมพิวเตอร์หนึ่งเครื่องที่ลงโปรแกรมสำเร็จรูปที่ต้องเสียเงินซื้อ ไม่รู้กี่เท่า (MS office, encyclopedia, games, photoshop, mathlab, accounting software,…etc.)
ทำไมเหรอครับ คำตอบง่ายๆคือ โปรแกรมทุกอย่างที่ต้องซื้อนั้นมีแจกหรือให้ใช้ฟรี (อย่างถูกกฏหมาย) อยู่แล้วในอินเตอร์เนท

I wish I was still a gamer. I would have just installed Raptr client in a heartbeat. I still believe that I am a real/hardcore gamer at heart. Why wouldn’t I be? I’m still shamelessly dreaming of playing games all day all night without having to worry about works and family.
I don’t want to say that I don’t have time for it. Time shouldn’t be a factor. The busiest people in the world still have time for some silly things for themselves. It is just the factor of guilt that I can’t spend my precious time on games and personal entertainment. My guilt would have told me to do the right thing instead (attend to my baby, work on the projects, read that book I should have read a long time ago,…etc.)
