Casual gamers
Since I stopped playing game seriously 6 months ago. (playing WoW at least 6 hours a day), I think I am now falling into a “casual gamers” group.
I started to think, “Now what game should I play that fits my time and needs?” I don’t want to play a puzzle game where there is not goal other than solving a puzzle and that’s it. I tried Bejeweled, Cradle of Rome and a few others. Cradle of Rome kept me occupied for the whole month. It was quite an upgrade from Bejeweled, but still… it didn’t fulfill my needs. Coming from an MMORPG game, these casual gamer games just aren’t good enough for me, but I don’t have enough time to play an MMORPG now. I still want to play the game, of course, hopefully I can when I reach 50.
What interested me the most about MMORPG was the social interaction part of it. It enabled me to get to know people I would never have met in real life. People from all ages, walks of life, and people from different backgrounds. Bejeweled can’t give me that aspect.
Right before I gave up and killed my gamer self, I found this perfect blend of casual gaming and social software! PMOG!

PMOG transforms our web surfing into ongoing social play. With a Firefox plug-in, players can bomb each other, wage war over web sites, and lead other users on web missions.
I’m eagerly awaiting the game to come out of beta. ![]()
